Katakuchi Chawan | Kiyomizu-yaki Matcha Bowl

Kiyomizu Ware Matcha Bowl – Handcrafted in Kyoto

Handcrafted in Kyoto, Japan, this matcha bowl is made using the traditional techniques of Kiyomizu ware, a celebrated form of Kyoto ceramics with over 400 years of history.

Its refined glaze and graceful form reflect the beauty of Japanese craftsmanship, while the katakuchi (spouted) design brings modern functionality to traditional matcha preparation. The spout allows matcha to be poured easily into another cup, making it especially suited for preparing matcha lattes.

Created exclusively for Richly Matcha, each bowl is individually handcrafted, giving every piece subtle variations in color, glaze, and finish.
